MOSAIC BIRDBATH CLASS

This class will be held at Jill Gatwood’s home studio in the Albuquerque North Valley.  It is appropriate for beginning or experienced mosaic artists.  (New mosaic artists have created stunning mosaic birdbaths in previous classes!)

Day 1, 12noon - 5pm: We work on design, learn tile cutting techniques especially useful for tiling a circular base.  Students begin working on their birdbaths, using thinset mortar and a big variety of tiles.

The week between classes: Students take their birdbaths home – with all the tools, tiles and supplies they need – to continue working.  (There may be a studio session midway through the week, too)

Day 2 12 noon - 2pm: Everyone grouts their birdbaths – a complete transformation! – and we take pics! There will be a discussion and demos on how other outdoor, garden mosaics and murals are created.

The classes are held on consecutive Saturdays

Class fee: $175.  All materials and supplies are provided.
